...EXPERIENCE THE SUMMIT


Liz Decker, violin, studied music at MacPhail with Mary West as a child, then at the University of Minnesota with Roland and Almita Vamos. She has
performed with many professional orchestras including concertmaster of the West Palm Beach Symphony,Opera, and Florida Ballet. She played section first
violin in the Naples Symphony, Miami Chamber Orchestra, and Charleston Symphony/Chamber Orchestras. In the Twin Cities she performs with the
Minnesota Opera Orchestra and Minnesota Sinfonia. Liz is also active as a musician in the Twin Cities' theater community, playing for shows at the Guthrie,
The Children's Theater Company, and musical theater at the Ordway while also teaching as an adjunct instructor at Bethel University.

Classically trained,
Carolyn Boulay, violin, was Concertmaster of the U of M orchestra and went on to play in the 1st violin section of the San Antonio
Symphony for three years. Returning to Minnesota to raise her family, she continued performing as a freelance musician in an increasingly wide variety of
settings. Carolyn was a guest soloist for the Dakota Valley Symphony, has opened for Tanya Tucker and Vince Gill. She has played at the White House and a
garage sale. While continuing to perform chamber music for various concert series, she tours nationally with Lorie Line  and Klezmerica. You can hear
Carolyn on several Target Lifescapes recordings, such as Scottish Moors  and Celtic Dreams, which feature Carolyn heavily.

Jennifer Kalika, viola, received her Bachelor’s degree in Viola Performance from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, and her Master’s Degree in Viola Performance
and Music Education at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. While pursuing doctoral study at Eastman, she was a member of the Herriot String
Quartet, a graduate quartet dedicated to performing contemporary works. The quartet received honors including invitations to perform in New York City
and Heidelberg, Germany, as well as in many cities throughout the United States. Ms. Kalika has had the privilege of studying with master viola teachers,
including Karen Ritscher, Philip Clark, James Dunham, John Graham, and Emanuel Vardi. Chamber Music coaches have included members of the Cleveland,
Kronos and Audubon string quartets, Sylvia Rosenberg, and George Taylor. She currently enjoys playing viola as a free-lance musician in the Twin Cities
area, appearing often with Vocalessence and other chamber orchestras throughout the region.
Ms. Kalika appeared most recently in the orchestra for
Chanhassen Dinner Theatre's production of
Oklahoma!

Diane Tremaine, cello, is a very active and versatile Twin Cities freelance cellist performing frequently with the Minnesota Orchestra,Vocalessence,
Minnesota Sinfonia, and presently playing at the Guthrie Theater onstage in
"The Secet Fall of Constance Wilde". She has played extensively with the Minnesota Opera and has also performed with several national ballet companies. In
addition, she spends a great deal of time working as a recording artist, improvising on many pop and folk CD's as well as numerous classical and commercial
recordings. Diane was a featured musician on "A Prairie Home Companion" in January 2008.
